**Beach weddings are making a comeback — and we're here for it!

Barefoot elegance, the sound of the waves, golden sunsets and the Mediterranean as your backdrop.

After years of countryside estates, private villas and olive groves stealing the spotlight, beach weddings are finding their way back into the hearts of couples dreaming of saying “I do” in Greece.

And honestly, with coastlines as beautiful as those in Crete, it's easy to see why.

Some weddings simply have it all… and this was one of them.

This wonderful Scottish couple trusted us to bring their wedding in Crete to life at a beautiful private villa — and what a celebration it became.

Elegant, sumptuous décor transformed the villa into the perfect setting for a day that felt completely them. And we especially love that their wedding is a reminder that there is no age limit on celebrating love in a big, beautiful way. 🤍 Whether you are 25, 45 or 65 — your love story deserves a celebration that reflects who you are.

And this one certainly did.

A surprise live performance for the guests, spectacular fireworks lighting up the Cretan sky, a beautiful bar, delicious food, an incredible wedding cake, a champagne tower and all those little details that turn a wedding into an experience.

It was elegant, joyful, full of surprises and, above all, incredibly memorable.

Here’s a little glimpse of their day — although a trailer could never quite capture how magical it felt to be there. 🤍

Some weddings just have a certain feeling...

M & T travelled all the way from Canada to celebrate their wedding at Villa Mandilari, and honestly, they got the best of both worlds in one unforgettable trip.

With its vineyards, stone buildings and olive groves, Villa Mandilari has that beautiful Tuscan atmosphere, while still being unmistakably Crete. It's the kind of place where you find yourself wondering if you're in the hills of Italy or on a Greek island.

For M & T, there was no need to choose between Tuscany and Crete—they found both in one incredible destination.

A day full of love, laughter, great food and memories we'll never forget. 🇨🇦🇬🇷✨

Broadcasting live from today's wedding

If you've ever planned a wedding on a Greek island, you'll know exactly what we mean...

The forecast says **25 km/h wind**.
Our brain immediately starts running at **250 km/h.**

Should we rotate the ceremony?
Will the candles stay lit?
Do we need heavier table numbers?
Should we secure the florals?
Is the arch safe?
Will the musicians need a different setup?
Do we move cocktail hour?
What's Plan B... and Plan C?

This is what we call **Operation Wind.**

To most guests, it's just a beautiful breeze on a warm summer evening.

To a wedding planner, it's a carefully timed sequence of decisions, supplier calls, weather checks, setup adjustments, and contingency plans—all before anyone even notices there was ever a challenge.

Time management isn't just about keeping to a timeline. It's about making hundreds of tiny decisions, often within minutes, so that your wedding still feels effortless.

After 18 years of planning weddings in Crete, we've learned that flexibility is just as important as planning. Because sometimes the best wedding skill isn't sticking to the original plan—it's knowing exactly when to change it.

And when everything looks calm and beautiful...

...that's usually because **Operation Wind** was a complete success. 💛
